Description: This is the fourth and final part of a four part Presets 101 tutorial. It shows how to import presets you've downloaded from the internet to your Easy Palette ready for use. It also quickly touches on what presets can be used on.

Warning: Be sure that any image you use to make these presets are either your own, a part of the PhotoImpact package or free of any copyright restrictions

Versions 12 and X3 has the ability for customised workspace modes. For this tutorial we shall be using Full Edit so that all tools will be available.
Version 11 please use advanced mode
Version 10 has two work modes, Basic and Standard. Basic Mode features a simplified workspace with larger buttons and the most common functions, whereas, the Standard Mode displays all of the functions. We will be using the Standard Mode in this tutorial.If you see Standard Mode faded out as shown, then this is the mode you are using. If you change from standard to basic you will lose any presets you may have saved.

1	Firstly, if you haven't done so already, you're going to need to download from somewhere a zip file containing some presets. You're welcome to download the ones I have here if you like. Just click on the image below to start the download process. Then using WinZip or some other unzipping programme, unzip the presets to a folder on your computer. Marble Presets
2	In PI open the Easy Palette, click Galleries this opens Gallery Manager, then choose Load.... Import Gallery box will open: 1. Find the folder where your files and .smp is downloaded in. 2. Click on drop down box and choose My Gallery. 3. Choose Merge group by group and Open as a new gallery. 4. Highlight the .smp 5. Enter into File name window and click Open.
3	Your downloaded .smp presets will be loaded into your Easy Palette. This is how your presets will look when loaded into your Easy Palette
4	Presets can be used on any path objects including text. Here are some examples of what my presets look like when applied to objects.
